New Friend of the month… Kim L

Ghandi said, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”  For us, this focus on personal support networks has been so self-reflective and it’s made us very aware of the process of making new friends.  We could list a few dozen people (it’s been a busy time!), and if you’re wondering if you’re one of them, you are.   Thanks you!   But over the past couple of months Kim, a new friend to us (though preceded by her reputation) has gone out of her way to advise, assist and support our work.   In terms of this conversation about how we expand, deepen and increase our networks of support, there are a few lessons learned.   We have common interests to talk about and are excited about some of the same things, so that makes sharing time together fun.   Kim is very outgoing and willing to make the first move.   She responds right away.   She creates opportunities to spend more time and deepen the conversations we’re having.  She doesn’t just talk about work, but about herself and she asks about our lives.  Thanks Kim!
