So long and thanks for all the fish!

July 26, 2009

Well, that was fun!  So long and thanks for all the fish! is one of my favorite books (or a book in my favorite series).

We would like to thank our contributors who sent us some great stories.

We would like to thank our sponsors!  You kept us honest 🙂 and on the job!

And we would like to thank the Blogathon organizers and volunteers – Li our monitor was faithful in reading our posts and commenting on the stories…

As Aaron and Susan have already commented, stories are the media of learning about relationships, the way a cookbook helps you try new foods.  Stories tell you what is possible and inspire you to try different things.  And they make your heart warm and your eyes teary (at least they make my eyes a little misty at times.)

We are always amazed and honoured by the opportunities were are given to share in people’s lives.   We get to share meals (potlucks with Sami are legendary) and share good times and hard times…

So have a nice Sunday.  I’m going back to bed and then getting up for International Bog Day at 10am – one more plug 🙂

And add us to your favorites or subscribe to the blog (RSS) or subscribe to our monthly email newsletter… All ways to keep in touch with stories about friends and family.

(Do you see that bulldozer or the piles of sand on the Burns Bog website header?  There used to snaps of beautiful water flowers, but since the Provincial Government has started preloading for a new four lane highway to run through the bog, we are less optimistic about the bog’s future. )

Thanks, and great job with your blogs for blogathon! You’ve got some excellent blogs with plenty of great photos. The blogs here definitely help to start up some new ideas for blog topics for the DDA.

we’re looking forward to next year! our blogs get turned into e-newsletters each month; you can subscribe to this one from this page, and to the other one, which is the agency newsletter, from Spectrum’s main web page.
