April 1, 2010
We’ve made a few changes to our website, with more to come. Our launch site, www.101friends.ca has been re-directed to this site, and we’ve added pages for events, articles, upcoming workshops and other services. We’ve also uploaded a number of articles to a new page on this site. One of these is Susan Stanfield’s “From Institutions to Individuals: On Becoming Person-Centred” Other articles appear here.

Excellent article, Susan. Person-centered is definitely the correct way to go – despite what many people think, our folks have the ability to make many decisions on their own and other decisions can be made with the help and assistance of those close to them, be it staff, family or friends.
Thanks again for reiterating what definitely needs to be said!
Amazing article, Susan. I love it! Thanks for explaining everything so well.
