The Changing Role of Providing Support Within Community Living

March 1, 2011

March 31st we’re excited to be presenting “The Changing Role of Providing Support Within Community Living” – a look at the shift to individualised supports, leadership at the ground level, and the facilitation of autonomy for people with disabilities.   Where does it all leave us and how do we catch up, and why do we want to?

To register, contact the Garth Homer Society at 250-475-2270.

While on Vancouver Island we’ll also be stopping in Ladysmith for a workshop with staff, checking out the Victoria Resource Fair and spending the afternoon with some new and old friends where we’ll be introducing the new little green booklet on Support Networks for Self-Advocates.   You can find the booklet online at the bottom of this page of excellent Safeguards related materials.
