Mary Kealy in Vancouver, Oct 26 and 27th – Save the dates!

July 30, 2011

Mary Kealy is a renowned advocate for the transformation of agencies to individualised, person-centred options and has a great deal of experience to share about changes in her own organization in County Clare, Ireland.   We’ve organized two workshops, one a general overview of her experiences changing a large traditional organization to be more in alignment with the feedback of those served, and a more interactive day with Mary and other more local leaders focused on the idea of “Right Relationship” in support networks, shared living and the involvement of folks with disabilities in hiring their supports.   All Spectrum events are managed through eventbrite and at any point you can go to this link to check out what we’re up.   Please do join us!   Details are being finalised for the Mary Kealy days but tickets will be available soon.   These events will be useful for families, service providers and those working in government who are involved in supporting the dreams and lives of folks with disabilities.

I personaly know Mary and we have had a good fortune to do staff exchanges with her staff. As she worked on the transformation of the Brothers of Charity, she sent staff for extended visits to Onondaga Community Living in Syracuse, NY on two spearate occasions to learn more about personaized supports. She is a great leader of personalized services in Ireland, a strong leader and a wonderful person. I would highly recommend her so please do what you can to come to the event she will be at. You will enjoy the day.
