Spectrum’s Consultant on Strategic Initiatives, Shelley Nessman, and I had lots of fun with friends Jessica Humphries, Self Advocate Advisor for C.L.B.C. and Sylvie Zebroff, Family Partnerships Advisor for C.L.B.C., at B.C.A.C.L.’s recent conference in Pentiction, B.C., working with a group of more than 65 self advocates on story telling and all its components – the role of deep listening, choosing the story you want to tell, saying “no” when you need to, experimenting with different ways of telling stories, what stories might mean. It was an amazing day and the feedback was great! We hoped our friend Barb Goode could join us, but unfortunately she was unavailable – and yet very present for everyone in the room!

This is absolutely stunning – I love watching this. There are some awesome guidelines in here around deeply listening. Congratulations from your fans in Australia!
Thanks Jaquie – Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
