Community Mapping in Vernon

February 28, 2013

bcideas_badge_winnerOur first community mapping session is about to take off, next Friday!  We’re so excited.  About 50 self advocates from Vernon, Kelowna and Kamloops will join together to talk about the places and connections that matter to them where they live.  If you’d like to attend, see below for information.  If you’re in Victoria, watch this space for an announcement about a tentative June session and, in Vancouver, September!  There are two parts to each session – a day of mapping with self advocates and their invited supporters and a reception for the whole community.  We’re hoping to meet lots of people in the cities we visit!

What would happen if we asked a room full of Self-Advocates:

Where do you feel welcome?

Where do you contribute?

Who would miss you?

What gifts do you share?

Share your stories and ideas about your community, be part of the big picture.

A great day to share with others and meet new people
