C.L.B.C. Safeguards – “Understanding Vulnerability” booklet for self advocates

an excellent new resource for self advocates and their supporters, which we were proud to be part of 🙂

We were excited to be part of this project, meeting with a focus group of self advocates to look at some complicated ideas and create something together that would be useful for their peers.   In the latest Community Living B.C. email news, Interim CEO Doug Woolard says:

CLBC offices across the province have received copies of a new plain language guide for self advocates called “Understanding Vulnerability”. This booklet is a unique tool to help build awareness among self advocates, their family members, CLBC staff, service providers and others about the importance of being aware of vulnerabilities so intentional safeguards can be planned to address them.

The guide has been created by CLBC with the full participation of self advocates who guided content and design. If you have any questions about the booklet or would like to order additional copies, please contact Jule.D.Hopkins@gov.bc.ca.
