happy “pink shirt day” – an end to bullying
February 24, 2009
“pink shirt day” has increased in scope and meaningfulness from a very small community generated response to bullying to something much larger, which resonates for many of us. In our workshops, Susan Kurliak talks about her work in the school system, where curricula and school goals are designed around reduction in bullying behaviours, and how in the development of Personal Support Networks we are talking about learning how to be friends, and friends are the opposite of bullies. Teaching, and learning, about how to be a good friend might be the best way to focus this conversation. Check out http://www.pinkshirtday.ca/
